With more than 51 years of experience, Dr. Naresh Trehan is a distinguished cardiovascular and cardiothoracic surgeon. His expertise in open-heart surgery to repair aneurysms is honed by over 48,000 successful operations.

The President of India appointed him as his personal surgeon in 1991. Throughout his academic career, he has published over 350 scientific articles. In the years prior to founding Medanta, he worked at Apollo Hospitals, New Delhi. Aside from this, he is also the founder of Escorts Heart Institute and Research Center.
