Motherly Love Knows No Boundaries

There’s no substitute for motherly love in this world. The story of Sabina’s (name changed) journey to motherhood is a testament to that.

Sabina, a university student, along with her footballer husband Pervez (name changed) lived happily in a small town in Uzbekistan. But the absence of children in their lives always pulled at their heartstrings.

The reason for their childlessness was a trauma suffered by Pervez during an accident. It rendered him unable to ejaculate sperms naturally, depriving him of the chances of becoming a father normally.

However, their longing for a child made them reach out to us. We proposed to them to come to India for their IVF treatment. Initially, the couple hesitated as they knew no one here and not even the English language.

After many counseling sessions and assurance to them of all services – right from doctor’s appointments to SIM cards, transport, and a home away from home – they decided to take a chance. Our team got to work and made all the arrangements for their comfortable stay in the country. Finally, the couple arrived for their treatment.

Upon medical examination, Pervez’s semen analysis revealed an absence of sperm as known previously. The doctors decided to do a trial TESA (Testicular Sperm Aspiration) to aspirate sperms directly from the testicles under local anesthesia.

The trial proved to be a success and encouraged the doctors to proceed with further treatment. Sabina was put under regular monitoring and observation through ultrasound tests along with stimulation of eggs through hormonal injections and medications. The progress of the treatment went quite well.

Finally, the big day for OPU (Ovum Pick up) arrived. The eggs were to be retrieved from Sabina’s ovaries under general anesthesia and TESA was to be repeated for Pervez, but this time for actual fertilization in the lab.

Luck favoured and fertilization took place though the number of embryos was very low. Two days later was the last leg of treatment – ET or Embryo Transfer. It had us all on tenterhooks hoping for the best quality of embryos possible.

After the procedure, both Sabina & Pervez were unable to stay further for their BETA HCG results due to Visa restrictions. The couple flew back to their home country with high hopes in their hearts.

Fourteen days later, which seemed a long and indefinite wait, the test results arrived. Sabina was pregnant. Our team was delighted to hear the good news, and as for Sabina and Pervez, it was the day when their prayers finally came true.

We kept in constant touch with the couple for the next nine months to ensure the mother and child’s health. After a successful pregnancy period, Sabina delivered a healthy bonny baby boy.

We were absolutely overjoyed and wished the couple a happy and fulfilling parenthood ride.
